Coming Back to Christ
I am a believer living in Upper Hutt, New Zealand and meet with other Christians in the church in Hutt City. I have been a believer for 16
years. When I first got saved I met in a Baptist denomination for four years, then with some Christian free groups for one year, and then came into the church life in 1989.
My experience of coming into the church life is a very significant part of my Christian life. I felt led by the Lord to leave the denomination
and follow the Lord. That year the Lord dealt with many areas in my life. I learnt in these dealings that there was a difference between the soul and the spirit and that the Lord’s purpose is to restore and recover the proper
church life. The Lord also showed me that the church had become degraded through the many centuries of its history, and it needs to be restored according to God's original intention.
I really experienced such a restoration personally when I came to the church life. I felt I was coming back to Christ. I have read many books by
Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, which have helped me tremendously to see the proper biblical view of God's purpose. Early on I read The Normal Christian Church Life and Authority and Submission by Watchman Nee. The Genuine Ground
of Oneness and The Economy of God by Witness Lee really opened my eyes to what the Lord's goal is. In the Old Testament the Lord called the people to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple of God.
I am so grateful that the Lord caused me to be a seeker of His truth, and that He brought me to the genuine oneness of the Body of Christ to
express Christ corporately. CR
